Olympique Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula is being considered as a replacement for Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi if media reports are to be believed.
Imbula is seen as a long-term replacement for Mikel who has been told he can leave Chelsea for a small fee.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is hoping to sign a striker, midfielder and a versatile defender in the summer.
A move for Imbula will cost Chelsea around £15-million and with Marseille trying to raise cash to buy a striker a deal could be likely.
The 26 year-old Mikel is also valued around £15-million.
